How We Rank

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Our data, in plain English

RK Picks is a data project, not an opinion blog. We continuously map Amazon Canada's public Best Sellers lists across more than 23,000 categories and refresh our snapshots daily. Every ranking you see on this site is built from that data: what Canadian shoppers are actually buying right now, tracked over time — not what an editor guesses, and not what a brand paid us to say.

What our rankings mean

A product appears in one of our guides because it holds a top position in its Amazon.ca category at our latest data refresh. Where we add commentary, it is based on the product's public listing information and its popularity signals (how long it has held its rank, how broad its buyer base is). We do not invent specifications, and we do not claim hands-on testing we have not done.

What we deliberately leave out

We do not display exact prices or star ratings — those change constantly, so we send you to the live Amazon listing to check the current numbers before you buy. We never accept payment for placement in a ranking, and no brand can buy its way into a guide.

How we make money

Links to Amazon on this site are affiliate links. If you buy through one, Amazon pays us a commission at no extra cost to you. That commission never affects a product's position — positions come from the best-seller data alone.

How often pages update

Our category data refreshes daily. Guide pages are regenerated on a rolling basis as rankings shift, and each guide notes that prices and availability may change.
